FramingNano Delphi study concerning governance and the responsible future development of nanoscience and nanotechnology

FramingNano is an FP7 project established with the objective of defining a governance framework, together with constructive and practicable regulatory proposals, aimed at supporting a responsible development of nanoscience and nanotechnology through the process of an open and international multi-stakeholder dialogue amongst the scientific, institutional, industrial, non-governmental and broader public communities.

The two-stage Delphi study is a key element of FramingNano. It forms the backbone of the entire project and comprises the core of the dialogue process. The most important aim of the Delphi study to is to gather stakeholders’ views and expectations in relation to environmental, health and safety (EHS) issues and to ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) related to nanotechnology. The outcomes of the Delphi study will form a vital input to the deliberative process and the subsequent development of governance and regulatory proposals.

The link below provides access to an electronic version of the first-stage questionnaire of the Delphi study. The questionnaire comprises 20 multipart questions and should take around 30 minutes to complete. On completion, the questionnaire may be submitted automatically to the FramingNano Project by simply clicking on the “Submit” button.

We would be most grateful to receive your input by 25 February 2009.

The FramingNano Project thanks you for your important input to this project.
